ok...no more track days for me this year. So to get me through the winter, I'll be painting the bike. I've got some ideas but would like any input I can get. Here's the first one I liked. Tell me what you think and maybe post your ideas.

Oh now I'm not saying I don't like it, just that I think you'd need to be one hell of a painter to replicate it.

Wow, that looks like a lot of work! It will be awsome when it is done. Having just tossed mine to the ground, I am not sure if it would be worth the effort, but it would look AWSOME.

Get Bucky Bager to wrap that thing.

Looks cool, but they say you wreck as soon as you get a new paint job. It would suck to put that much work into it and then chuck it to the ground...... bodell probably has the best idea, trackwraps.... then its easy to replicate over and over.

Thats going to be a lot of work if you paint it yourself. It's going to be a lot of money if someone else paints it. You will be very sad if you crashed that.
It can be wrapped. It's going to cost some money to get that artwork done for the wrap on top of the usual cost for a wrap. Drop me a PM, I have a few ideas.

Thanks for the comments so far!
I know this one will be a ton of work. I grew up around auto body work so no surprises there. Also, not really worried about crashing it, mostly just wanna see what I can come up with. My plan is a new scheme every season or so. Most of my ideas center around people who have influenced me. While I have to say I have more American influences when it comes to riding...Rossi is the most iconic. Thats why I figured I'd start with this one.
After that, most of my ideas are taken from music...specifilcally guitarists. I'm really into guitar so Eddie VanHalen and Dimebag Darrell Abbott are a few that I have in mind. Also thinking of doing a "pin up girl" theme....like a WWII fighter.
Keep the ideas coming...I appreciate it!!

Dude..skip the Rossi replica..that's been done...no disrespect..but if you want to do something original...the Van Halen idea's a VERY cool consideration.
Work it up to look like Eddie's guitar..with the 1972 quarter and all..that would AWESOME!

Darrin, I like the way you think...although, I'd prolly do the EVH bike with white, yamaha blue and black. The Dimebag inspiration would look like this one...

Actually..I like that..the EVH motif in your own colors works...Just don't forget the reflectors and SOMEHOW incorporate the 1972 quarter.
Like it better than the dime bag replica..no offense to Dime Bag..he was awesome.

maybe I should change my number to 5150 as well ;) ...can you have 4 numbers? I may have to change the quarter to a 1973...the year I was born LOL
and I never understood why they didn't put 5150 on the replica guitar...it was on the guitar during the Hagar days.
