finally got my tank off the F4i and need to call up andrew to let me know how much OT I need to work to get it repaired.....but my question....HTF do I get the rest of the gas outta there?!?!?!

I used a syphon to get most of it out...but there was a little bit down at the bottom....disconnected all of the hoses and only a bit drained out and I can still hear a bit more in there...I think I have tried everything...and the manual just says to "Let it flow into a clean container"

Well....my tank must have a prostrate problem....cuz it aint flowin'

Take a match and use it as a light to see down the fuel cap. Keep holding it there until you see a flash. That should get rid of the remaining fuel. j/k Please don't do that!

I had to do this once before and I used small towels to absorb the fuel. Just shove it in the tank, slosh it around, pull out the towel and wring it out. I also removed the fuel pump assembly to aid in the evacuation as well.

Man, No Matches!!!

Remove the fuel pump and also the filler cap assemblies. Then use shop rag(s) or Paper Towel to soak up what will not drain out through these two large holes. Let the tank air out for a couple of days so that any last drops evaporate. Blow out with compressed air. Do not generate any heat, sparks or flame near tank if it still has any smell of gas to it, or there will be a BOOM.

Dispose of rags/PT carefully. Until the gas evaporates, they are extremely flammable. Put them outside away from the house / garage and any source of heat, spark or flame until the gas evaporates.
