R6 exhaust ??s

I have a 2001 carberated R6-1st gen of the model. I currently have a rather obnoxious D&D slip on on the bike, which is rather loud.

I was wondering, and have seen, R6S's with the shortie/stubby 2007-2008 style R6 canisters on them. I am guessing that since they are both fuel injected, there would be no real harm in using one for the other. Can i do the same for my carberated R6 as well?

As long as you can properly bolt it on it's then just a matter of getting the jetting right for the new exhaust can.
