Hey the pics are getting better. Here is another contribution. Some of us (when we were younger) had another life "before sportbikes". We would get up at 5AM on Sunday and go race to places like "HillbillyHills MotoCross" near Athens Georgia... what a name! I had a nice trim waistline back then...

First 'track day" was a Keith Code school at Louden back in 95. I drove 8+ hours on my ZX1000R Ninja to get there, late August and in full black leathers! Let's just say a 500+pound, 140 HP bike was not the best thing to learn on. Still, it was a blast!

Fondest memory was Code's wife yelling out "If you ain't pissin' you ain't drinking enough!". She did this about every hour or so.

I think it was around 95 degrees on the track, no shade, no ex-up, nothing. Not a good day to wear black leather!

Yes, I found the throttle, however I had to since you threatened me to hammer the throttle or go sit in the pits.:adore: J/K

Luckily the rest of that day was fun considering it was snowing on the back turns from 8-11.

Am I seeing this correctly? You have your GoPro mounted in your ram air duct? Ever thought it might hinder the performance of the motorcycle not being able to get enough air? Just a thought........

The 2002 was from a Loudoun Motorsports trackday I think. About 6 months before I joined up with NESBA. I have had the bike since 1995, and it all blurs together... In the mid 90's I worked for Cycle Sport in Springfield Va. Paper plates were what we always gave out to the riders that didn't have a number when we did trackdays (yes it was a play on the word plate). It was cheap, readily available and took a marker well ;) Whom ever ran the day had a stack of plates at check in, so that was what was used.

I think that's turn 6 or 7 so I was probably looking at turn 9 or something equally mind blowing. Or.... I was watching the person in front of me, which I had a bad habit of doing until I got about half way through my first day with NESBA.

You are seeing it correctly and it most assuredly does affect the airflow across the high pressure zone at the air inlet when at speed. I'm guessing the j5 response would be a shoulder shrug and "whatever." Good stealth camera spot though.
