Hi everyone,

I've recently stepped up from a 30 year old UJM to a pseudo-sportbike, a Bandit 1200. I want to go to a track day as part of the free Intro Group as advertised on NESBA's website to see if this is right for me before I drop a few hundred bucks on a membership and track day. Unfortunately I can't figure out how to sign up for an Intro Group session. Can anyone help?

welcome. im not sure how to answer your questiong but just wanted to welcome another bandit. i was riding mine for a few years here with nesba till i couldnt go any faster on it. i will recommend that you look for the tighter more technical tracks with the b12. they have such great torque that they can drive on even the biggest bikes coming out of corners. (thats what 80 ft/lbs will do) but on the higher speed stuff they just dont have the pull or aerodynamics. what location are you and what track were you looking at?

what event were you interested in?

i would say thunderbolt would be better.some tighter sections. not too much wide open stuff. and the b12 like i said is much happier in the tight stuff with the torque it has

Read the riders manual first!

http://www.nesba.com/info/intro.aspx

Click the link above and then click on Become A Member.

Create a user account by filling out the informations fields and submitting the info.

From your account, click Event Registration and add the event you want to ride the intro session at.

You will then check out of your shopping carts and be prompted to fill out any missing information as well as a registration waiver that you will need to "sign" Throughout the process you will need to click continue with check out to proceed to the next steps

The very last step is to process the transaction. This step will take you to a confirmation page letting you know that your event transaction is complete.

If at anytime the even is already sold out then you will be prompted to place yourself on the waitlist.

You will not need to pay any fees for this.

i would also suggest pocono but many people dont like it. the bandit worked great there. not many high speed areas but lots of tight stuff. its fun being able to pull on 90% of the bikes exiting a turn while the motor is lugged down to 4k on the tach

I understand what's being said about torque to exit corners, but I'm still surprised to hear a 'smaller more technical track' being recommended for a bike that's 471 lbs dry.

Get signed up for the first intro day you can get to. The bandit will get you hooked, and you won't care that it's not perfect for the track. That'll come later, and WILL cost you "a few hundred bucks," to say the least. cross that bridge when you come to it.

Just get some decent tires, and have fun with what you've got for now. Hopefully I'll get to NJMP and see you out there soon!

honestly the only time the bandity felt that heavy was on tight s sets back and forth. for example the s at summit jc on theback when trying to flip the bike back and forth. down side to the 80 ft/lbs of torque is only 100-110 hp. on that heavy bike.

Everything feels awesome when you first start off on the track ... until you try something lighter smoother or faster ect
