seepy:
If its like the TZ is/was, you just loosen the linkage and reverse its postion about 180 degrees. What I mean by linkage is the black metal peice attached to the shifter arm that goes into the engine. Loosen the 8 or 10mm bolt that has it attached. slide it off and reverse the postition. I'll be ta NJMP July 18 if you need help in case my directions are unclear. BZ

I did a thread about a month ago about the advantages of GP shift. Not that I know better than others, just that I wanted to know. Everyone has their own personal preferance on wether or not to do it. If you have been riding for a lond time in normal shift pattern then I strongly recommend learning it on the street first (GP shift that is). I switched it three weeks before a track day to get used to it and thought I was doing fine. When I got to the track it just wasn't working to my advantage. I'm not telling you not to do it just remember that if you've rode in normal for years your brain has been trained to shift that way without thinking about it. So when you hammer out of a corner and shift down instead of up make sure you can catch it with the clutch. Don't want to see you float a valve or something. Good luck with it.

Does the bike already have aftermarket rearsets with the ability to run the shift rod outside of the frame rather than through the frame? If not that is the first thing you will need to do, there isnt enough room for the rod in that hole to flip the knuckle and still connect it. Once you get the rod ran outside the frame and the knuckle flipped over 180* you will need to find a spacer to use between the shift knuckle and the heims joint otherwise the rod will be running on an angle and can get cought on a bind.
