Default Gotta Fess up about Saturday a bit..

On the road to the track Saturday morning I got a call from a very good friend that a dear mutual friend had passed... I was very close to calling it a day at that point and had I not been 20 miles from the track, I would have.. Sort of drove me to ride like my azz was on fire saturday..

Anyway, Don Williams (Rayabusa0818) was a guy that ANYONE would want to call "friend" and proud to do so.. He was more family to many of us than our own siblings..

We often ganged up on the "younger" guys about safety and ATGATT issues on H.org.. (I am Mr Bogus).. in fact his last post was on one of my "rant" threads about rider safety.. Reason for his death is unknown and may never be known but he was on his bike doing what he loved best, riding his Hayabusa...

Again sort of brings me back to Saturday...

Was especially nice all the encouragement and congrats I got on Saturday that helped soften some of the shock and grief that I was and am feeling at this loss. Gotta love "Nesbians"

We have "Busa Bash" in another week or so and his presence is going to be missed sorely by those of us that knew him well..

Don was a cornerstone of the Hayabusa.org forum. Unlike many forums, most of us know each other from face to face meet N greets.. (a lot like this place I find)

I had the honor of riding the "Dragon" and other roads around his home for a few years and considered him a good friend..

Anyway sorry for the long winded post, just had to share this special guy with you all..

This photo is of Don Williams (Rayabusa0818) and Kevin Varner (Vman1300) (former Nesbian himself RIP)
